Comprehensive Vision and Eye Exams
Annual eye exams are the first defense against many of the more serious eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. Sometimes early detection can make the difference between sight and blindness!
In addition to having a comprehensive eye exam as a protection against eye disease, it is wise to have your eyes tested regularly to make sure that your prescription for contacts, glasses or sunglasses hasn’t changed dramatically. Even if only minor changes in an eye prescription are needed, it can mean the possibility of headaches or difficulties with night driving or may have other ramifications.
At McDougal Eye Center, each eye exam is carefully given to make sure that your eyes have been completely examined, your prescription evaluated and updated if necessary, and that there is no disease or infection present. Our state-of-the-art equipment with expert handling by the optometrists here makes certain that the results of your eye exam are complete and accurate.
Periodic eye and vision exams are an important part of preventive health care. Many eye problems have no obvious signs or symptoms, so you aren’t even aware that problems exist. Early diagnosis and treatment of problems are important for maintaining good vision and eye health, and when possible, preventing vision loss.
If you have questions regarding any eye or vision conditions diagnosed, or treatment recommended, don’t hesitate to ask for additional information or explanation from us. Eye exams and vision tests should be scheduled on a regular annual basis so that any sign of health problems that are found can be treated rapidly to ensure the best outcome.
Make family eye care a part of your ongoing health planning. Your sight is precious, we want to help you preserve it.
